not a noticeable one just wait for nahelem. If I bought a new motherboard for the E8200 would i get a good increase in speed, or should I be looking at a different processor.
Basically, is there any processor near the $200 dollar range that I could buy and see an increase in speed?
xenophos
Right now I have that motherboard, an E6300 processor and an Nvidia Geforce 7950 GT
Right now I'm looking at what I can upgrade to get the biggest increase in speed. Would upgrading my CPU or would upgrading my graphics card get me the biggest speed? Also, what would you recommend I get with a limited budget ($200-$300)?
Would this card work with my current motherboard?

Also would this be a good choice for around the same price?

Sure the 9600GT is great. I have one with a Quad core Q6600.

[QUOTE="xenophos"]Also one Newegg it says that the 8800 gts requires a PCI express 2.0, iwch my motherboard (DG965OT) i think does not have. Does that mean i couldn't use it.JSDempsey
you can still use that video card, and it will still run just a great.
As for overclocking, you do it in BIOS. just look up a guide for intel overclocking if you want a step for step guide
His motherboard does not overclock.[QUOTE="JSDempsey"][QUOTE="xenophos"]Also one Newegg it says that the 8800 gts requires a PCI express 2.0, iwch my motherboard (DG965OT) i think does not have. Does that mean i couldn't use it.Spybot_9
