Okay, so I bought this modified PC back in December and it's quite good with a 50 pound(s) sound card etc. x-fi and creative all inputted into the PC.

One problem though, no sound. You ask, how did I put up without sound for all these months, well the sound works on the headfones.

When I went holiday, my cousin (computer geek) told me I may need some sort of disk etc. when i told him the context. So basically I have this sound system that has been with me for a while now and it did not work and I did not previously install it on other computers so i am oblivious to any disks.

My sister eventually took the sound system for her MP3 (GRR) but I decided to go out today and buy a nice Sony sound system for 30 pounds, assuming it would come with some sort of a disk.

To my surprise it did not come with a disk and I was reluctant about the prospect. It told me very simple instructions which I followed willingly. So now it is simply plugged into relavent connections (PC/socket etc.) and all the lights are on (however, no internal installations have been processed... apparently). You can even slightly hear the bass when inputting the wire(s), however I'm stuck with the SAME problem. No sound.

What the hell do I do?!?! I'm not a computing genius so I'm guessing maybe a "Sound driver download" like the printer or something?! Please, people guide me on what I must do.

Thank you, much appreciated.

Pretty much, go to Creative's website and look for the drivers, oh and make sure it goes into the green jack, that's usually the one you need.
