Ok so i just built my new computer. Included was a new harddrive. I didnt really wanna re download my games and i wanted to have my itunes music and stuff. So i decided to put in my old hard drive from before that i firstly installed all my stuff on. But for some reason i cant access my files. I go into my old harddrive (E) and when i click the itunes application to run it, a get errors. I decide to try play some call of duty 4 that i installed last year on my old hard drive. So i go into the files from my HDD and click iw3mp.app to run the mp. Now im getting weird errors that i havent gotten before.

I cant reinstall the games from the disk because my DvD drive isnt reading my DvD's, only CD's. How can i fix these?

To actually run programs from that HDD you will need to boot into the version of windows that on it.

if the old drive used to be your C: drive and you put that in a new computer as a different drive letter like E:.......then the paths to files/registry info are gonna be all mixed up. it wouldn't be a problem for individual files like a .mp3 file......but installed programs are gonna be confused

It doesn't work like that. When you install a program there are entries written to the registry that Windows needs to run the program. Your Win7 registry doesn't have any entries for the programs you installed on your old HDD under Vista. You'll have to reinstall any programs you want to use. Files like music, pictures, documents and stuff like that can be copied over to the new drive without any issues.
