[QUOTE="bigM10231"]Actually that's what I'm looking for is a pair with good bass amplification and I heard skullcandies were the best for it, How is Sony's headsets? The problem that audiophiles (such as those on Head-Fi) have with Skullcandy is that they apparently just offer cheap, bloated, boomy bass, and the rest of the range sounds like crap. The price tag is also way too much given those qualities-you could easily buy Sennheiser or Audio-Technica at that point, maybe even AKG and Beyerdynamic if the prices stretch even higher than I expect. However, I wouldn't be surprised if audiophile-grade cans touted for good bass have a completely different sound on the low end than cheaper cans-one that just may not be to your taste. They're generally looking for audio fidelity, not a pair of skull-rattling subwoofers clamped to their heads.crushers and i have heard skull candies and they dont have as much bass as sonys

Pass on the Bose too. You can get good sound, but it's overpriced and not as good as other's.If you want good sound then don't get Skullcandys, instead get Sony, Bose, Senniheiser

Skullcandys are fine for the in-ear variety, but other than that, I'd stay away. Interestingly enough, the little rubber/foam/plastic peices that fit over the actual woofers have a lot to do with the sound as well. I use to own a pair of Shures and Bose, and I just recently flipped out the skullcandy covers with one of the shure ones--even doing that the sound is better.
Sennheiser is BY FAR the best headphone for the dollar.
Dude if you want a real gaming headset, buy a real gaming headset, not something with pretty designs on the side. Turtle Beach!
They also aren't THAT expensive. Mine broke after about a year because the wire to the right earphone was frayed and I could then only hear out of the left one. Still, if you take good care of them, they're worth it. Ghost_702
That's my biggest gripe with Bose and Shures. I've owned +100 in-ear phones by both brands, and I expected far better build quality. Really, things like that should not happen, and reinforcing the cable wouldn't really cost them anything.
Don't need a gaming headset, bro...But I've had Turtle Beach before and I hate to say it, But they broke after the first year.Dude if you want a real gaming headset, buy a real gaming headset, not something with pretty designs on the side. Turtle Beach!
