Need help with SSD

Okay so I have windows 7 on my Hard drive....

Bought Windows 8 and SSD

I'm just confused, how do I install windows 8 on SSD? and how do I transfer my files into the SSD, or let's say I download something using the Windows 8 on SSD but I want to save it on my Hard drive windows 7, how do I do it?

So confused

And I also hear SSD's wear out faster, is that right?

Format and install, if you need anything to be saved use either dropbox or external HDD

Plug in SSD (unplug HDD if you want to be careful)

Boot from windows 8 disc

Install windows 8

Plug other HDD back in, make sure BIOS is set to boot from SSD

You now have windows 8 running on the SSD and can access files (but not most programs without reinstalling) on your old disk. If you need to run anything from your old install just use your bios to boot from the old HDD.

what kind of SSD you have some off them like the Samsung has a migration software to transfer tiles

Be sure to follow these guides: Windows 8 SSD Install and Optimization Guide, as well as turning off defrag for your SSD (It's bad for your SSD and Windows 8 will regularly defrag it weekly unless you tell it to otherwise)

It's fairly important you check this stuff out if you want to maximize and preserve the health of your drive
