Need honest opinions here. Toshiba or acer aspire laptops?

Im currently looking up laptops for my girlfriend and have found 2 which suit her needs, one is the Acer Aspire Laptop, 8930G-643G25MN, 2.13GHz with 18.4 Inch Display OR the Toshiba Satellite Laptop, A300-27H , 2GHz with 15.4 Inch Display.

Basically as a quick run down, she uses her laptop for DVD's, internet and use for uni work.

Ive got my eye on the Acer Aspire, but both are equally as good in my opinion.

Anyway cheers in advance for any advice given.

Also if your wondering why we are getting from john lewis, I work in the company and get a 12% discount for eletrical goods (skillz).

They all use the same components so it really comes down to looks.

Stay away fro Fuji/Siemens/Lenovo as well.
