Need New Game....

Okay, this is my first forum so i'll try not to sound too newbie... im looking for a PC game thats cheap, fun and will tide me over untill the games i really want are out. I'm looking for a game that doesn't have internet requirement.

Some of the games i enjoyed are: The Guild Wars Series, Psychonuats(loved), and Gun...

A Games that at wide was liked, that i didnt care for: Elder Scroll: Oblivion

Some that im looking into: Tomb Raider: Legends and Resident Evil 4 when it comes to PC next month

Tomb raider: Legend is quite OK, but far too easy.

Resident Evil for PC isn't worth it. get it on console instead.

Personnally I'm playing rainbow Six: Vegas lately, and having a blast with it

 Because the PC Port is extremely bad, trust me.

As for consoles, I don't know about the Gamecube version, but the PS2 version is still available (platinum edition) and the game is on the way for Nintendo Wii, apparently.

Now, of course, I don't know if you have any of these consoles, so the info might be kinda useless :p 

I you liked Psychonauts, and want a game that's both cheap and fun, you may want to check out the Sam and Max episodes. They aren't particularly long, and the first two episodes are a bit dry, but the rest of the episodes are brilliant.

Check out the demos first, though - point and click adventure games aren't for everyone. 

The reason(s) why you shouldn't get RE 4 on pc is because it has no mouse suppot, the graphics are horrible (no shaders etc..) , the controls are horrible, you can't exit out of game without resetting it, its even worse than using a ripped version on a ps2 emulator, or so i heard.

Also the control system shows the same type of symbols as the ps2, or pretty close to the shame......etc.....etc.

RE 4 - From game of the year to lame of the year.

Buying RE 4 will make you feel like you have walked down a dark alley and been mugged then had "PC users don't matter", tatooed on your back in big yellow words with a blue border.
