I'm going to be building a rig soon and I needed a suggestion on a PSU that will give me some room for upgrades (SLI/Crossfire) down the road. The things i'm looking for in a PSU are

  • Modular
  • At least 600W (or SLI/Crossfire cert.)
  • Rear Vent
  • $100-$165.

Get the Corsair 750HX, it's modular, 750w, and Corsair is one of the best if not the best power supply maker out there.

The only thing is that the fan is on top. My case doesn't have air holes on top. Would it make much of a difference if though?

There's a lot of cases without holes on top, I don't think it matters.

Just flip the psu, that's what I did and it works fine.

Dang, if you posted this like 2 or 3 months ago you could've gotten a Corsair 1000HX for around $165 after MIR. Newegg had a sale on PSUs a few months back with like 20% off and the PSU included a $25 MIR.

Most cases how mounting holes for the psu that enable it to be mounted with the fan on the PSU facing the top or bottom of the case.

So it shouldn't cause any overheating problems?
