Every weekend, I buy a game off of Steam. This weekend, I'm torn between Fallout 3 GOTY edition (played it and didn't really get into it on 360 like a year and a half ago, but I feel it might be different on pc with addons and mods)
Burnout Paradise (Never really played racing games, but I loved midnight club la remix on psp because of the open world thing)
HAWX (Yay jet fighters!)
Alpha Protocol (meh reviews, but looks promising)
and Men of War (Looks awesome, but I hear rumors there is no AI skirmish mode, which would make it a nobuy for me)

Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you for reading all this crap. :-)

I would go with burnout paradise, it's not a racer in the strictest sense and it is open world.

I'd love to be able to buy a new game every week, unfortunately I'm trying to save money, buying a game once every couple of months (or maybe more if its a very good deal).

I personally wouldn't go with burnout paradise, everyone seemed to rave about it, but whilst at first it seemed good, when I got it on the Xbox - it got very repetitive. You just do the same missions to get a new licence over and over again - increasing the amount you have to do, and the lack of variety in them makes it get boring quickly. Although I did enjoy the elements of free roam - I didn't find it overall worth a purchase - especially crashing into cars :(.

Anyway, that's my opinion, I'd go with fallout 3 probably, loved that game on the xbox and with mods it's meant to be great.

In the end, it is a toss up between Burnout Paradise, and FO3 GOTY.

I am not a fan of racing games in general, but Burnout I did have fun with. It is more of a "crashing game" then a driving game maybe that is why I liked it more ^^

FO3 GOTY has all the DLC, which in most cases are better and more diverse then the main game, its a long game too. User Mods and changes does make FO3 a fair bit better too... HOWEVER! it still has the core game as the 360 does, so if you did not like it back then (depending on how long you playied) I do not see how you can now.

Atleast if you came out the vault and got to explore, if you only playied the vault part, then I dont hold it against you for not liking it :P

I guess Burnout from all that list.

I'd go with Red Dead Redemption if I had a console but that's just me :)
