Need some games while Xbox 360 is broken...

My Xbox has broken 4 times in a little over a year now. I used to game on my PC but I haven't in a while. My computer has kind of embarrassing specs but I was wondering if you guys could recomend a few games for me to play. Dont laugh if I type these wrong.:P

Yes that first game you mentioned it amazing, (not talking Deus Ex)

Half Life 2 is amazing at scaling, so you can probably play that. Get the Orange Box. It's got the main game plus episodes 1 and 2. Portal is also supposed to be good.

Not sure what other modern games you can play with an X600. There's always classics like Warcraft 3 or Diablo 2. Your PC shouldn't have any problems with them.

Maybe I should have said this first, but I already have HL2 and CS:S for PC. I also have CoD 1 and 2. Would I have a chance at running Company of Heroes? i heard that it was a great game.zobo93

You might, I ran it on a laptop with an AMD dual-core but an integrated GPU, check the demo to be sure, its the easiest way to see if the game runs and if you enjoy it. Also any type of games that you enjoy?

I was nervous about paying 20 bucks for Thief: DS,I thought it would be too weird,or I wouldn't like it or something like that,but it's fantastic.

There is the Dawn of War series if you are interested in a good 'traditional' RTS, you can pick it up for $20 on Steam or retail but if your computer could run Company of Heroes that would be a much better choice. Also Total War games mix a TBS over world map where you manage your policy/economy/armies with real time strategy gameplay that focuses on maneuvering and fighting your opponent with units that you build on the over world map, not base building or producing units. Read the reviews on them, download the demos and feel free to ask questions. If you are looking for a specific type of game I could also suggest something.
