So I was wanting to get Resident Evil 4 for PC. (On the account I don't have a PS2 GC or Wii.) But my mom does not like letting me get M games eventhough I am the recommended age to play them and I already own a few. Her biggest deal is blood and gore. The funny thing is that my older bro. who is 2 1/2 years older than me plays COD WAW on the 360 with all the blood and gore on. But my mom does not mind that game (for whatever reason) So how comparable is RE4 to COD WAW zombie mode? Is it around the same ammount of blood? TY in advance.

Wait you're 17 and your mom won't let you buy a M rated game?

Now THAT sucks.

Edit: Ok this post doesn't help very much, let me tell you this: World at War has A LOT OF BLOOD. So chances are you probably won't get it

To be honest, Resident Evil 4 on the PC isn't even worth it unless you have a gamepad. Keyboard/Mouse controls are sloppy due to the 2nd rate port. That being said. I'm not saying it is a bad game, on the contrary it's one the best, but it's not worth it for PC if your using a mouse and keyboard.

Should be fine, the only thing is that heads explode. (I'm trying to remember from the GC version...which was amazing).

Edit: OH and don't die when your mom is around...RE5 cut out a lot of death sequences but RE4 had some BRUTAL deaths...I mean this is where the game got the M rating lol. This video pretty much covers it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHsHjrC6BXY

you see dude children shouldnt be allowed to play fps's rated m for mature because there under age by the esrb.. and though they are stupid ppl at the esrb we must respect there authoritay! furthermore all power to the 14 year old ultra swearing kid who plays for 8 hours every day and will EAT me on gears of war but 9/10 if your parents gave a damn about the stuff you played we would never meet in the arena in fact you would never see that game again.

These rules are simply designed to protect people above the age of 20 like myself from you l33t h4x0rz who tear me up in every FPS and MMO online.. you should be allowed to play the game if you agree to a considerable handicap :)

Anyway RE4 for the PC isn't the best port. One thing is that the cutscenes are very blurry but I think theirs a mod that can fix that.

http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=7814

Menus are ugly on PC but they are fixed in a mod( THIS IS THE MOST RECCOMANDED)

http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=2743

Their are some other mods that update the graphics but it won't look as good as the gamecube or wii versions in terms of lighting but textures will look better. But this is a texture mod and I honestly think playing with the normel textures will be better for the first playthrough.

http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=1631

keyboard controls are not that bad but quick time events are a pain. Use a gamepad if you have one.

X-box 360 button replacer.

http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=117

Also if your lighting and graphics look horrible then download THIS patch.

Hope this helps if you buy it.

You played it? Resident Evil 4 you are some random dude, with a broken story line. Killing Floor, is awesome co-op ness, where you just kill zombies. Oh and it's the unreal engine, so super duper custom maps.

Resident Evil 4 is a great action game. The story is dopey but entertaining. The single player and action/horror is very good and it keeps you at your toes. Besides id rather play a single-player game over a multyplayer game the majority of the time.

in short your parents need to gve more of a damn and back in the 90's gaming was never taken seriously hence why we saw such off the wall games as redneck rampage and dink smallwood.

i was similar watching horror movies when i was young etc. i think it's better for parents to expose their kids to adult stuff in a controlled environment. otherwise the kids rebel get high, drink and end up dead because they act like ***** on street corners.

my parents introduced me to adult stuff in a controlled environment when i was a kid. ive been playing m rated games and watchin r rated movies since i can remember. i remember going to see braveheart in the theatre when i was 5. that was scary, lol had nightmares for weeks. lol. but i dont know, youre gonna have kids be less likely to rebel, but theyre still gonna try things. i remember the first time i drank i got so $%!7 faced, and my mom was serving them. but that still didnt stop me from drinking and smoking and getting high in college.

I cannot disagree more; been playing Doom (along with other M games like Blood..) since I started school (17 now) and turned out fine. I think the problem is parents need to figure out how mature their child is and go with it. The ESRB is currently a joke because you cannot measure maturity with an age since we all mature at different rates. Sheltering your kid from the world does nothing but make them naive and the step into reality even harder then if it had been earlier (for everything; not just games).
