Hi Guys i need help here to pick between R7 260x and HD 7850, i know is not the best Graphic Card out there, but with the budget i have these type of Graphic Cards is the one that i can afford.

so more to speak, both of the cards have 2GB GDDR5, HD 7850 have higher memory interface running on 256bit meanwhile R7 260x run at 128bit, but R7 260x has higher core clock and memory clock

any suggestion that think there are other cards is better than those two please shout, fyi my budget is $180-200

cheers

The 7850 is a bit better but I've got something else: http://us.ncix.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=91929&vpn=02G-P4-3063-KR&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1363

well some games are more AMD fitted while other to Nvidia, so that's the second concideration after 7850.

The 660 is a great card. I would recommend it for sure.

I was thinking why not R9 270 which should be better than the GTX 660. Then I checked and well the R9 270 is $230 and the R9 270X is $300! AMD is starting to not compete at and the only options are Nvidia, like come on these things MSRP is $180 and $200

The 270 is just a downclocked 270X, so the 270 is a better buy. If you can move some sliders in Afterburner then you can get a 270X for $230, which is better than a 660ti.

If you can spend $230 you would be better off saving for a GTX 760 or buying a used one. I bought my Asus GTX 760 open box for $195 and I can still use the warranty. You can even find deals around $230-240

For $175 you can get and find the 7870ghz, which is a 270x with a little less bandwidth. It would serve you better then the 7850 and is more powerful then the 660. They are very good overclockers that will nip at 660Ti/7950's in some scenarios.

AMD cards are higher priced because of the buyouts happening for Bit/Litecoins. Anything from the 7870/270 and up serve those purposes well.

If you can't find at least a 7870 in that range, I would opt for Nvidia (IE 660Ti/760) for a few bucks more.
