I would go with a GTX260 or something like that or maybe dual 9800gtx which would be like 300-400$. Dual 8800gt wouldn't be enough for the settings your looking for. I'd get like a gtx280 or dual 9800gtxn_kors
Yeah I just got a GTX260 core 216 for my new system and am loving it, plays crysis on all very high settings well :)

My new computer (including the GTX 260) comes in the mail tommorrow. I bought NVIDIA because I haven't had much luck hooking my computer and TV up with the ATI software - also the GTX 260 is pretty bloody close to the 4870 and the same price
Well a 4850 isnt all much better than the 8800GT so thats a waste. Also Crysis performs better with nvidia cards then ATI in the same ballpark, and Crysis isnt the best opminized ethier. Now With Farcry 2 You shouldnt have any issues running it on high (without AA). What are your specs?04dcarraher
my current specs are as follows:
AMD 3800 x2 am2
DFi NF590 sli-m2r/g motherboard
xfx 8800gt
2GB (2x1GB) OCZ RAM
Windows xp pro 64-bit
I know my cpu isnt the greatest, and im sure it bottlenecks my video card. I made this build in sept of 2006 and at the time i was using the 7600gt. I planned on going SLI with that but then a year later the 8800gt came out and got that instead..
I could upgrade my cpu with another AMD, but lately ive been thinking of bitting the bullet and going over to intel. I'm thinking about doing that maybe around the christmas.

a 880gt is a good card but you need a new cpu you can get a better one for less than $50[QUOTE="cristoefur"][QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Well a 4850 isnt all much better than the 8800GT so thats a waste.
