can anyone suggest me a game which combines city building with some micro-management (not like sim city) and warfare.

titles that are similar to the settlers, age of empires and anno 1701.

please if anyone knows any good games please post them up.

Majesty Gold (an older game, you can find it for less than $10). Build your city up, and conquer the map. The twist: you do not have direct control of your units. You can incite them by rewards to do the Right things. You can also take direct action yourself by casting spells at the enemy.

Heroes of Might and Magic series is also a possibility. The City building aspect exists in a limited fashion.

Civilization IV or other games in that series.
