Alright well I have a netbook that I use for taking notes at school and I've noticed that it overheats a lot. The processor temperatures fluctuate from around 36 degrees to 76 degrees Celsius! The netbook is the Dell Mini 1018. Is this normal? Thanks!

You've got that hardware in a netbook???

the link you posted and the config don't match at all

I'm assuming the Mini10 is your netbook...

Contact Dell and get them to replace it and send you a new one.

It could be overheating due to you putting it on a blanket or something similar which may cause its air flow to get blocked.

Netbooks should run fine if you do basic stuff on them, anything more than watching a movie or creating a presentation and you're risking it.

76 degress is way too high for the n455 processor. I would monitor the cooling fan to make sure it is spinning at enough speed to keep it cooled adequately. I have a HP Mini 210 netbook with the n450 processor and it runs quite cool.

I dont know much about laptop hardware but ive heard of fixes for hot temps involved copper foil you could scour the net for that.

What might work alternatively is http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-Notebook-R9-NBC-8PCK-G/dp/B003ZMF27G/ref=sr_1_cc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1307467476&sr=1-3-catcorr
