I have 6800gt, pentium 4 2GHz, 1gb RAM. Will i be able to play this game (with the newest patches, if it improves the performance) medium-high, 1024x800 resolution with those specs?

I played oblivion at high with 1024x800 res at 25+fps with those specs, so will i be able to play this game with same specs?

I have 6800GT 3GHz PIV 1 gig ram (3200 ddr2) Seems we have similar specs except for the proc. I play at medium settings at 1024X768. Initially the game played pretty much crappy, but with the 1.3 patch it is actually pretty good now. I think you can at least play it at medium, which actually looks pretty good.

Medium to High settings should work.  You would think Max settings but unfortunately, for some ungodly reason the game is a huge system hog without much of a reason why.  Still, with making a few sacrifices, the game should run quite smoothly and the only real hiccup you may hit would be any swamp areas (which is pretty much the beginning of the game) but once you are able to get through that certain area, it all is pretty silk.  Hope this helps.

i know 6800gt and 1gb RAM are good, but i have a PENTIUM 4 2.00GHz which is bad. So are you sure i can play it at medium settings at 25+ fps.

Are you sure that i will be able to play it at medium?

I just saw the hardware performance thing and it says that 6800 will get 7 fps at 1280x1024 resolution at medium settings.

hi there guys! i've always been an avid fan of rpg's way back to to predecessors of neverwinter nights- baldur's gate. i just bought a new notebook and wondering if my new gizmo can handle the new nwn2 game. i recently bought medieval total war2 and it runs smoothly but i'm not so sure if my gizmo can handle nwn2.

here's my specs:

 asus a8jn

centrino duo t2250 1.73 ghz (2 cpus)

 1.5 g sdram

nvidia geforce go 7300 256 up to 512 mb (i am running at 512 now cos i upgraded my ram to more than 1 gig).

1280x800 (32 bit) (60hrtz)

i am downloading the latest directx but at the moment i have version 9.0c

i have plenty of hd space 100gb

thanks in adavance for the help

One never knows with NWN2, the game optimization needs a therapist. I installed the game and played it for awhile... then I updated it (online) and after that it was unplayeble... this was months ago and still have not played it again. The game run as well as it used to till I go into the tavern (where you change party members) and when I go out again it acts like a power point slide show. I save, quit and run the game again, load the save and it's fine until I go back into the tavern and out again????

Go figure???

The biggest killer in this game is Shadows. I gained 10-15 frames by setting the shadows to medium.
