do u guys think that the new line of nvidia cards will use less power than the 8 series? all i know is that the 8800 gtx was very power hungry. an if u wanted to run two of them, u needed a massve psu.

If you are telling a Power Hungry to a 8800GTX what you are telling to a HD 2900XT ?

Anyway New series uses less power I think (Than GTX)

I guess that all PSUs that can handle 8800 GTX will easily handle 9800 GTX. If it ofcourse gets released.

Yeh i'd agree with that .. being cheaper, more power efficient and all that ...

But its almost sure that new nvidia top line cards will be made in 65nm process.

No. The 9800 is built in 65nm but it has double transistor number of 8800. Therefore, it can be equal or higher than 8800.

It really depends on the engineering/architecture behind the GPU.
But my guess, if it isn't a multicore GPU and is similar to the G80, it should have about a 10-20% larger die size.
