I did NOT just paste this specifications from forums, this is for the final product.

- 9800GTX (G100)

- 65nm

- 1024MB (1GB) GDDR4 with 512-Bit

- PCIe X16 2.0

- DX 10.1

- SHADER MODEL 4.1

- 650MHz CORE CLOCK

- 2000MHz MEMORY CLOCK

- 2000MHz SHADER CLOCK

- 128.0GB/s bandwidth

Can you imagine having 9800GTX SLI OMG!!!!!!!!!!! you may think the speeds are abit low however if you have experience with the GTS (G92) you will now you can OC it alot with stock cooling mine is at 800MHz for the core 2.2GHz for memory & 2.0GHz for the shaders & it stays around 45c with 100% fan but I still havent reached its limits lol so if the 9800GTX comes with a half decent stock cooler you can expect to OC this monster beyond belief lol however this may come about a month later after the 9800GX2 which isnt a TRUE next generation card like the GTX so dont waste your money on it get GTX's :P

I dont know the prize yet but you can expect it too cost as much as the 8800GTX when it first launched so its going to be alot lol theres no benchmarks as of yet so I cant say how good Crysis will look or run but it also depends what resolution you play at I dont think it will MAX out Crysis in Vista with DX10 @ 1920x1200 but thats why you buy 2 for SLI or even 3 for TRI-SLI if money isnt a factor but I do think with 1680x1050 with a single GTX you can play MAX with maybe 2XAA since I get good results with this resolution with a single GTS (G92) & Q6600 esp if you buy a new Yorkfield C2Q like the Q9450 :D I need to start saving money for a new CPU & GPU AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I just replaced my E660 & 8800GTS (G0) for my new parts

OLD!!! I dont know which part of the world your living but how can G100 be old when today you can buy 8800GT & GTS which are G92 sooo unless you have a problem with numbers G100 is the codename for the 9800GTX, I didnt come up with what codenames are new or old thats NVIDIA's job so go complain to them

You brought a old rumour without a source and call it as a fact but you dont like rumours?

And i said rumour because of the 9800GTX name, maybe it will be called 9900GTX. Nvidia renamed the G100 as the GT200.

Technically, every DirectX 10 GPU is already OpenGL 3.0, as OpenGL3 implements all the new features in DirectX 10.* while still keeping native performance for everything before it.

It won't beat two of those however two 9800GTX's will beat anything. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

You can only tiple SLI 8800GTX or 8800Ultra and even then the performance increase isn't triple.

Then we will have to wait to see the real benches of this new card in games as Crysis and then compare it with its price tag to obtain its price/performance ratio and see if it's worth to SLI this card. If this card's price/performance ratio is similar as the 8800 GT's, it would be truly incredible, but I don't think so.

But I just hope that SLIing these card would achieve playable rates on crysis with very high detail on 1920x1080 res with some AA enabled, because if not, I will really be disappointed.

Hmmm why not actually.7800GTX>6800GT SLI,8800GTX>7900GTX SLI so why not 9800GTX>8800GTX SLI.

@ TC: *pant* *pant* punctuation is your friend. Holy freaking god...

And who cares about finding the specs out early? It's not like you can do anything about it except dance around until it comes out. Just wait for the release.

Edit: @ Thinker: Because the 9 series is using almost the exact same architecture as the 8 series. You won't see nearly as much of a gain from 8 to 9 as we did from 7 to 8.

There was a old rumour that said that the next high end of nvidia was aiming at 1TFlop, the hd3870x2 already does i guess the 9800gx2 also will.

Then there was a later rumor that nvidia was aiming at 3tflops which it can be interpreted as three 9800GTX in Tri SLI assuming they give around same performance as the 9800GX2 or a single card being 3 times more powerful than a 9800GX2.

Remember that these are rumours.

If these are offical specs, then cool. All the more power to those that want to drop top dollar on the best out there. All I know is that when these cards hit the shelves (9xxx series or whatever they're going to call them), I'm waiting for the prices to tumble on some 8800GTS 512 or even on the 8800GTX. I'll snag up a couple and I'll be set for quite a while....

Then my wife can stop yelling at me about spending money on my computer.....that is until I decide to upgrade my MB and processor in a year or two.

It is a fake, NVIDIA said that they will not be making DX10.1 in the G9xxx series. They will be making the G10xxx series with DX10.1 or 10.2 if that it exists by then.

Realistic and possible but somewhat unlikely.

BTW- This is a G80 shrink to 65nm, so don't expect much.
I highly doubt this whole 512bit interface though, it would be much too expensive, tranny-wise, for a very small performance gain.

The 8800GTS is priced for what the 8800GT went for. Its only $279-$300 now.
