Yep.

Even though I can get a 4870 512mb used for like $150, I heard that 1gb will run games smoother.

I plan on not upgrading for at least 1.5 years, unless I can get a core 2 quad for really cheap in the future, otherwise I'll just wait and upgrade to core i7 or whatever is coming out then.

Based on my experience with MSI I would suggest heavily that you use any other company. Their customer service is terrible. They recently sent the board that I had to RMA back to me with no heatsink. How do you miss that? It was a nightmare trying to get a new one. Just trying to get ahold of someone is hell.

Also dosent the UD3P cost about what that UD3R does?
