Hey everyone

Im thinking of buying a new, budget gaming comuter since my old one is very old.

Just so you know, i am NOT going to put any parts together- im not building this thing. I can install some graphic cards and maybe some ram but thats about it ;)

Anyway, here is the computer.

http://www.scorptec.com.au/system/80/

Iv'e chosen to upgrade to the 8800 for 94 dollars extra, and ive chosen XP as the operating system for 135 dollars. All totalled, it comes to $1588.00 AU

Here are some games im looking to run, please tell me how they will run. Also, i live in Melbourne- is there any place that has a better deal for somthing similar-thanks.

Battlefield 2

Medieval 2-Total War

Yeah, so what do you think? Thanks guyz

www.centrecom.com.au

They're based in Melbourne, and have fairly competitive pricing. Look into them.

also www.pricespy.com.au it finds the cheapest prices from different retailers all over oz

theres definetly room for improvement, take that down to your local computer shop and get the to quote u and see how much it is, they could match if not better it and save u on postage

i personally wouldnt get that build especially when it dosent tell you the specific details of some of the things your getting

e.g.

mobo? its unkown manafacturer but most likely intel as it has intel built in audo

generic psu

generic ram

overpriced hdd (+114 for 750gb... 500gb is pretty much $130 anyway)

brand of monitor?

and that 8800gt is 256mb ! dont get it.... you should be able to get a gigabyte or asus 8800gt for a bit cheaper and still good quality, you defintely want 512 ram on that 8800 gt too as you will be playing on high resolutions with that 22'' monitor.

i would recommend you look elsewhere.
