Even though Dragon Age 2 has been announced, BioWare hasn't forgotten Origins.

BioWare today announced the Witch Hunt downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins. The expansion will hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on September 7 priced at $7 (560 Microsoft points).

As for the content's narrative, Witch Hunt casts players as a Warden and tasks them with confronting the elusive Morrigan, who disappeared during the events of Dragon Age: Origins. Players will enlist the help of at least three new characters in the fight, the first of which is the gifted Dalish warrior Ariane.

I'm very dissapointed and very happy at the same time.

I was hoping the search for Morrigan would be handled in the sequel as your own warden, but bioware had to ruin that with the hawke character. Well at least we are getting something:).

Too many games coming out in September. I don't think my brain can handle them all.

Agreed. I cannot even handle the games I have now... Starcraft 2, Dawn of War 2, Metro 2033, Halo Wars, and the upcoming Halo Reach, I simply do not have the time. Why buy them when I cannot even play them all? Well, I'm always looking for great deals and I'm a collector. Whenever a nice promo or deal appears, I like to hop on that opportunity to buy a game. I've sold a LOT of games recently because I either lost interest or felt overwhelmed by my library of games. Most of those games i bought them on a really good deal as well. Mainly from eBay.

At that price I don't think it will be long enough to have a satisfying finish to the story arc. "Oh you found her, The End" They will probably have it finish on some cliffhanger that leaves you asking questions. I'll just wait for user impressions before I rush in.

That's what I'm guessing Nutcrackr. When I saw the price, I was left feeling disappointed. Unless BioWare will be surprising us DAO fans with a major DLC at a cheap price point. It's Morrigan after all. One of the major reasons, if not the only reason to play DAO again.

Even if I didn't have time, I'd still buy and install it. I sure am glad we can get high-capacity hard drives with enough room to keep all of our games installed.:)

WRPG is my favorite genre. I really like that BioWare continues to support DAO with new content and patches.

Golems of Amgarrak has me stymied at the moment, but I'll be getting back to it.:P

It's still a separate adventure like Awakening. You can import any character. It isn't an add-on to the Main Game,

Isn't that an optional choice in the main game? I'm pretty sure you can refuse to bang her. Searching for her would be a pretty weak plot for a main game, not sure what the problem is making it a DLC for the original game instead of a side-quest in the second..

Bioware is simply hands down the best out there as far as rpgs go..Thats saying a lot to..Bethestha i love them but they simply do not compare to them..Just the depth an quality that bioware does for there games is great..Not sure if ill be buying this maybe eventually..Dont like dlc i like full expansions an the dlc have been extremly short..Id rather they work on full expansions like awakening...Instead of the quick 7 dollar money..

As much as I would like to find Morrigan I refuse to buy DLC and I stand by that. I would rather they be working on Dragon Age 2.

That's good to hear...some of the add-ons (Golems of Amgarrak, Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song) award you extra goodies you can carry over to other parts of the game.:)

In Golems of Amgarrak, I imported a Level 34 Mage from Awakening...he had all of his Awakening items, spells, and skills...and the party members also had Awakening abilities.:)

I said it wouldn'tbe the main plot either way. The question was, what difference is it if its a side quest in the second game or a side quest in the original game?

Spock said, "A difference which makes no difference is no difference.":P

Not a difference to me...i'm just glad they coded it so we could run it.

Who knows, maybe DA3 will continue Origins' storyline - or Hawke's.
