New graphics card or a SSD?

I got a 9500 GT 512 ram graphics card now and I was looking to upgrade to a 4890 1 GB of ram for a bout $200 but then I was thinking I could get a small SSD (prob 64 GB) to help with game loads and windows 7 start up and stuff... What do you guys think?

My specs

AMD Phenom II X4 940

8GB DDR2 800

Nvidia 9500 GT 512 ram

37 GB raptor with windows 7 on it but all other programs on my 1TB HDD. Start up times are weak I think caus of the other programs that have to open on the 2nd hard drive...

That's a pretty weak card in terms of today's standards.

ahh no dont go for SSD.. complete waste of money for very little improvement. With $200 you could get an ATI 58** series surely?wurd

The highest card in the 57** series, which is the 5770, is equivalent to the 4870. The 4890 still trumps it in terms of pure performance.

EDIT: I stand corrected. It apparently matches the 4890 now :?

Would definitely get the new vid card over the SSD. I just got my first SSD a couple weeks ago, and yes the performance difference is amazing, but if gaming is your main concern, an SSD should only be considered if everything else in your rig is up to speed. You'll have a much more pleasureable gaming experience with a better gfx card, despite having to wait a few more seconds to load.

I love how the 57xx was bashed for its 128bit memory at release, but then came driver maturities :D andthensome
