Recently i bought a new 500gb HDD i put windows XP proff. SP2 when i booted up windows i checked to see how much harddrive space it had and it only recognized 127gbs i restarted my computer pressed F2 checked my drives and it said Hitachi 500gb so it should be showing me my full 500gbs instead of 127 is XP holding it back? any help is appreciated thanks,

Did you maybe setup a partition just before the install started up? If so then the instance of XP you have will only have 127gb usable HDD, go to Start and right click My Computer, click Manage and look in the new window for Partition Manager, disc manager or something similar, see if there is Unallocated Space totalling the remainder of your HDD.
