Actually it's a pretty horrid video card. You're going to be limited to low low low settings for any modern game you try to play on that laptop. The benchmarks only look "good" when you compare it to old low budget and old mid level cards as they did on that link. Also if you note the benchmarks were with some super low resolutions.
For medium settings you need a laptop with an 8600M GT, for high you need an 8800M.
It says it was playing doom 3 on ultra quality and was getting nearly 60 frames per second. That sounds decent to me. My video card can't even play on ultra quality and it craps pretty bad on high. However, I am able to play that game on medium and I can play oblivion on medium as well. So, I'm just saying, as video cards go, mine works fine to play some pretty graphic intensive games, and the card he has is better than mine. Is it top of the line best thing out there? Surely not. What video card do you have? Must be pretty cool...?
