Ok so my girlfriend just recently purchased a new laptop (Aspire 6920G) and every game I've thrown at it has returned sub-par results. I don't know if the rig is a lemon or perhaps its vista.. Regardless, I don't want to speculate which is why I'm posting here. The main problem I'm having is that TF2 and other Source games run at an abysmal ~11fps. This is independent of graphics settings. Even if I force DX8 and set everything to low, no dice.. I've tryed updating the GPU drivers but nividia's site tells me to go to aspire's site, which is hard to navigate and seems to be lacking any updates.. I don't know what else say so I'm just going to list the specs on the laptop an hopefully someone can help me out from there. I don't mind config tweaking but it seems as though it's a hardware problem or a problem with the OS IMO, as all the config tweaks I've tryed returned null results..

Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2ghz, 800Mhz FSB)

GeForce 9500M GPU

3GB DDR2 RAM

If you want more specs or a dxdiag or something please reply and I will post it. Any advice welcome, thanks!
