So, I'm thinking about getting a few more monitors for an Eyefinity set-up after SLIing my GPU. I stumbled upon this IPS monitor as I think I would like to have ONE IPS monitor in my setup for other, non gaming uses like 3D animation or picture editing.

This monitor, from most of the stats I have seen, is pretty incredible, especially for the price.

Lowest response time I think I've seen on a IPS, 75hz...and it's available for $200. Seems like a pretty amazing deal. What do you guys think?

Hmm, upon further analysis, it looks like ghosting during games is the one thing the monitor is actually bad at. Damn...thought I had a winner here.

input lag is much more important than ghosting btw, and all ips displays have good amounts of input lag. IPS displays are NOT for fast paced games. Even TN 60hz panels aren't that good, 120hz is a must... for fast fps games, you can get by on CSS with a 60hz tn.

Viewsonic VX2336s LED is cheaper, but I couldn't find any opinions about it exept for a few user reviews on Amazon. Might be worth a look.

If you had to pick ANY gaming monitor for around $200/ea, what would you go for? Oh well lol, it must be flat panel, so no CRTs.

I would not recommed it. If you really want an IPS for gaming. Dell is pretty much the way to go. Look for either U2412 M (24") or U2312HM (23" and often has sales on Dell site.)

I recently bought Dell U2312hm from Amazon. I play BF3 on it and i do not notice any ghosting. 60hz is enough as long as your average frame rate is around 60

Thanks for the input, it's just really annoying trying to weigh the half a dozen variables present in monitors to try to deduce which would best suit my needs lol

I know what you mean, I spent 3 weeks looking, with atleast a 100 tabs open everyday, looking at different monitors, their reviews from various site, as well as user reviews. So I did a ton of research, and then reached my conclusion.

200$? This since it's your only option http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116452

120hz isn't worth the ugly looks or low resolution to most people.

Well it is an excellent gaming monitor no input lag at all... even my asus ranges from 0-8ms of input lag http://3dvision-blog.com/479-input-lag-on-samsung-2233rz-and-viewsonic-vx2268wm/

Though I transition from crt to lcd a lot since i go to different houses a lot and I can't feel the input lag on my asus at all.
