Hey I just found out The Matrix online is still up and running! I thought they shut that game down a long time ago...
As for mmo suggestions I think there needs to be a White Wolf mmo. A mmo set in the world of darkness universe would be awesome. There isn't enough horror based mmos. Be neat to see something survial horror like as well. But I'm not sure how it could be done. Group fear is something hard to produce in a online video game. Seeing as how theres always someone to break role and ruin the immersion factor.
As for mmos that are in development that seem pretty cool, Love for me takes the cake right now. Strange name for a game, you may have seen the article in gamespot news a few weeks back. Not much is known. From what I've seen from a few vague screenshots it will have a sort of cel shaded water color type style to its graphics. The main idea with it is instead of being a game to service some enormous amount of people per server like say 5000 it will be more like 200-300 people per game world. This playing off the idea that its harder to make a strong community of people where there is so many people you are basically just a number. For instance way back in yesteryear when I was playing wow. Small guilds were always a lot more fun and a lot more friendly then the big ones desptie the fact that in most cases you had to join a big one if you wanted to do endgame.

ya, a horror MMO would be awesome, not to mention the RPG possibilities.
Werewolves, Vampires, Undead, and Humans all battling eachother! Awesome.
personally i think a modern-day or near-future setting would be cool. I like orcs, elves, and sci-fi settings and stuff but its getting a little stale. Time for an alternate reality or something. An MMO set in like a World in Conflict type universe would be sweet.
Think about it...Red Dawn the MMO! Suhweet, go Wolverines!

Isn't CCP doing a White Wolf MMO?
EDIT: Here it is.
Conceptualization and early development has begun to bring White Wolf's World of Darkness, one of the world's strongest gaming properties, into the online world.

Awesome. I never knew.
Oh yea and mrbojangles25 the game you are talking about or at least similar to what you are talking about is Funcoms upcoming mmo The Secret World. Its a fantasy mmo set in modern times in real world cities like London and New York. Abound with horror and conspiracies and the secret that magic exists just that its been kept underwraps for hundreds of years. Also the more I read about the game it really seems like it gets some of its inspirations from the cthulu mythos. It will be running on the same engine as age of conan and combat supposedly will work te same way.

Seems like the MMO genre is slowly getting its act together. EVE may not be popular, nor is it everyone's cup of tea, but no one can say its a bad game. I think the talent behind it could make another awesome game.
Sounds awesome. Thanks for the link, too.

Yea as I was saying in another post if my pc hadn't caught on fire I would probably never have stopped playing EVE. Looks even better now with the Trinity update. Best thing about that game is its unlike most traditional rpgs. Except for the training you can do whether you are at your pc or not, money basically equals power. Theres no endless grinding now wasting 5 hours of your life in a dungeon ,that doesn't make you more powerful it has a more realistic approach of whos richer. So even though its criticized for being slow paced, it has some interesting aspects. Most people run businesses, manufacture items, mine. THeres a in game web browser to kill time wwhile you are mining. I never used it that much so I don't know if it actually goes outsdie the official website or not, but it does make easy access to forums. Most conflicts in the game are between players as well. Battles feel more frantic though just because of whats at stake if you lose. I don't really know what to say its just that the game feels a lot more alive.
