Right now I'm using a 8800 GTS and a 17 inch crt moniter, so it looks like I need to upgrade. I was thinking of getting this moniter

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=ONE3DQLVLTU25KC4D3JVAFI?skuId=8241084&productCategoryId=pcmcat104900050013&type=product&tab=1&id=1168044601867

but I've heard bad things about the TN panels. So could anyone offer any input or suggest a new 22 inchmoniter lcd moniter in th 200-275 price range. And I live in th USA, so newegg is an option.

I dont know a huge amount about monitors, but the specs do look good. And the customer reviews have all given it 4 of 5 out of 5.

thats just crappy, its a 700:1 TN panel monitor, not to good. and its MG, not a great name and never buy monitors from no names.

A higher contrast ratio and a name brand, pretty good if you ask me. still a TN but decent. however this monitor is much better and isn't a TN monitor, its more expensive but its really worth it.

Wow only 300...hows the quality? A 24" would be nice but I wouldn't want to spend the $ on graphic cards needed for that resolution.

It's pretty good from what I've heard, supposedly uses a low grade P-MVA panel or something like that. Viewing angles aren't typical of a 8-bit panel, but the color reproduction should be quite good.

You don't need a top of the line card to play @ 1920x1200. My friend games @ 1920x1200 with an X1950Pro 512MB and he's had no problems.

Usually gets high settings on the majority of his games, most of which aren't too demanding.

He's had to tone down settings a bit to medium for Company of Heroes and Oblivion.. demanding stuff like that.

Dude none of those games are really demanding, I'm pretty sure I could max those out with my 7600GT.. except maybe for AoE3. Never played that before.

He has an X2 3800+ @ 2.8GHz, 2GBs of DDR2 800 RAM, and the other specs don't really matter.

You sound like you're surprised that the X1950Pro can handle gaming @ 1920x1200. -.-

Well a mid-end card (Mid-end compared to 8800GTX/Ultra/HD 2900XT) on a very high-end resolution handling CoH and Oblivion @ medium settings is a bit surprising thats all...

Not really. Everyone's been brainwashed into thinking that one needs top of the line cards in order to play at high resolutions, which is not true at all.
