Is my motherboard DOA?

Today i started building my first PC with these specs.

OCZ GameXstream 700W PSU

MSI NX8800GTS 512 G92

Kingston 2GB HyperX 1066

Raidmax Smilidon Extereme Black case

Gigabyete GA-P35-DS3L

Intel E8400

(The PSU is not faulty, tried it with another PC worked fine)

So i set it all up, tried turning it on with all plugs in, just ATX, just ATX out of case (In case of short citcuiting) but i never get any noises or any lights. What could be my problem?

The BIOS on your motherboard probably isn't up-to-date enough to support the E8400.

Double-check all your connections (both inside and outside the case), make sure the power supply is switched on, try switching outlets, make sure your power switch is hooked up properly (and try shorting out the power switch) and re-seat all your expansion cards first though.

If you're sure all that stuff is done properly, then you'll need to use either an old LGA775 chip you have laying around the house, or buy the cheapest one you can find so you can flash your BIOS to an updated version.

I dont think you need to buy a new chip just to get it to boot, just find a freind who has a 775 chip. Or take it to a computer shop and they would probly let you use one of theirs prety cheap, or cheaper than buying a cpu.

It read the E8400, i was making such an embarassing mistake.

I would turn on the power supply, expecting a little blink or something, but nothing, but i never turned on the Computer iself lol (it works)

AND EVERYONE YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET A BIOS UPDATE MINE CAME AS REVISION 2.0

Good thing you told us that from the get-go.

Follow the advice in my post, ignoring the bit about the BIOS, and see what happens.

Yeah thankfully the DS3L is shipping with Rev. 2 now. I did not want to deal with updating the Bios for my E8400.
