so I'm looking at getting a new mouse, I don't have extremly high requirments or anything but a higher dpi is always nice. Definitly need a clickable scroll wheel and prefarbly no more then 2 buttons on the sides. I'd prefere wired (with a long cord) over wireless.

after a little bit of reaserch I found this Razer Deathadder 3500 for $50

http://www.amazon.ca/Razer-Deathadder-Precision-Infrared-Gaming/dp/B002Q4U5DK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328104252&sr=8-1

anyone got any other recomendations at this price level, or have the deathadder?

o, canadian prices btw.

Get a Razer Diamondback if you can find one online.

Best mouse I've ever owned. Should be cheaper than the current line from razer too.

I have owned a Razer Deathadder Voodoo edition 1800dpi, (red) it was great.

I now own a Razer Deathadder 3500dpi (blue) and it is even better. I love this mouse. Got it for $44 including shipping from Amazon.

I have that mouse and I really love it. Very comfortable. Very responsive. And it fits the other criteria you are looking for too. :)

Higher DPI is not always better. In fact it's usually worse. Most of the best mice on the market use optical sensors, not laser. The DeathAdder does use a high-quality Avago ADNS-3888 optical sensor though, so if you like the shape, it's a great mouse. Me? I love my CM Storm Xornet. Just got to stick with firmware v52 though, LOD was way too high on v50 and v55 has pretty low perfect control speeds.

Deathadder 3500 is a very good mice. If you have the budget, why not consider the Madzcat Cyborg RAT 7?? It is the ultimate gaming mice.

Well my budget is $50-$60 canadian, that thing is $100 US
I've always hated mad cats since I foolishly bought some of their terrible PS2 controllers
and that thing looks absurd

this is the corsair mouse i got, goes up top 5700 dpi, with on the fly interchangeable dpi setting, works great with first person shooters.

that red sniper button you see automatically lowers the dpi to whatever you set it so sniping is easier. since i game around the 3000 dpi range, its hard to snipe with that high of sensitivity, so i have the button set to lower the dpi to about 1000or so. comes in handy more often then i thought it would actually. also the mouse has weights you can take out depending on how heavy you like your mouse, after spending a couple weeks with it id definatily recomend it,its about 60 bucks or so too so its not too far out of your price range

Well it depends how you hold a mouse.

Deathadder is only good for palm grip.

I have the deathadder and I absolutely love it. At that price point, I don't think you can get a better mouse IMO.

I just got the Razer Naga and love it. You don't want more than 2 buttons though...You should look at the R.A.T. 7. It looks pretty cool.
