New Nvidia 3way SLI.....what!? are you serious??!! oh dios mio!!

And this is the main reason why i´m gonna quit and stop playing pc games, one reason is Win Vista and the other is this, i´m not gonna spend like $1500 just in video cards, new expensive motherboard, refrigeration,like a 100000w power unit to feed all this crap.....cuz some persons think this is the solution to play the latest games and think people sh$·% money...no way!.....Thats why im gonna buy a xbox360 or a ps3 soon!

tri-sli was available with the 8800 ultras (as they are the only cards that can do it) and no one is forcing you to buy 3 700 dollar graphics cards.

if you want to play games, get a 8800gt or 3870 and live with medium for crysis or live with 25 fps on max.

Wow this is insane just to run games like Crysis at playable framerates, when games that look almost as good (killzone 2) are on a $400 console. Something is wrong here.catlin_czirr

not even with a qx9775 oced like $h*t, 3 ultras in sli and 4gigs of ram ur able to max out crysis and have smooth framerates. So $1000+ processor, $250+ mobo, about $2000 vga's and $200 plus ram can max out crysis. I'd say it's pretty useless then

yes but you dont have to run tri-sli on a 30 inch monitor, in that picture he posted its showing a massive res, but who games with a 30 inch LCD, thats just asking to have a stupid amount of money poured into hardware to drive it.

Don't worry.

No developer who a actually wants to make money off their games is going to make you buy more then 1 video card to play them.

SLI is good for HUGE monitors - but that's about it.

I running a single 8800GTX, Intel E6600 and 2GBs of 800MHz RAM and Crysis runs all in high at 1200x1000 with 40-60 fps just fine for me. Why would you need 4xAA with such a high resolution anyway? I thought AA only really helped if your running in a lower resolution? 3way SLi is a waste of time. I probably only gives you about a 50-60% performance increase over a single card so no way is it worth it. An £800 high end rig can give you visuals far surpassing a £400 console with mods to boot.

no, i have never had that joy, unfortunatly the closest i have come is hooking my comp up to a nice DLP projector and playing some Bioshock and WiC on a 12 foot tall screen with an awesome Wharfedale speaker array, it was nice but im sure not as nice as UT04 on a 30 inch display.:P
