I can wait until nVidia releases a new "release" driver. Not that I've had (many) issues with beta drivers for nVidia cards (knock on wood), but I'm doing fine as is right now, and don't really have a compelling reason to update/upgrade.

I installed the last beta drivers because I heard they were improved for Bioshock.

Driver works fine. Didn't care much for Bioshock, though. :P

I will wait.

I don't get why people are so bothered that its a beta? Its what 5min or less to install it, then Run the bench mark of you favorite game and if it all works hey fine you got a better driver. If it crashes you reinstall the old one. Seriously way you guy talk about it you think that installing it would cause your computer to corrupt  the worse which can happen is that you will have to reinstall the video driver in safe mode.

When its comes to Video card drivers I see very little difference in beta and Signed. mix and match your drivers to your games and you learn what best.

So far the drivers seam fine, I am noticing about 10% fps increase on Company of Hero's Dx10 ultra or high V-snyc on and AAx4 AFx16, but its still a appalling 23fps (really need to change my CPU). Also incompatibly with Riva tuner for overclocking but the fan setting still works. Use the 163.44 if you need to test the appropriate speed.

Thanks, keep on posting these beta drivers! Each one seems to be better than the last, and I like being on the cutting edge.

Kudos to the OP, I would have missed this otherwise.

Friend said he can play Oblivion @ 1680x1050 with 16xAA/16xAF and it actually runs smoother than it did before.. although I don't know what he set AA on before the new drivers.

Any numbers to back this up? I was just going to write these off as another set of beta to have compatibility for new games, but if it does improve performance for an 8800, I'm interested in what games before I (re)consider installing them.

Yeah, because I haven't really noticed a difference in Halo 2 or ShadowRun, those are the only games I've tested it with, either way, I don't need more frames in those games, it's perfect the way it is.

I definantly see a 10 frame loss in Bioshock, but only because this driver won't let me overclock much.
