Beta drivers released specifically for Grand Theft Auto 4, the drivers are out for all GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9 and 200 series cards, and are recommended for anyone having issues with the game:

If you're having problems specifically w/ your graphics card and this game do yourself a favor......INSTALL NOW!!!!! With my rig (in sig) I went from 32 fps to 42 w/ the benchmark tool. I'm playing at 1680 x 1050. I know that my CPU is the current bottleneck tho cause all the time in-game its maxed out, but its a nice "light at the end of the tunnel" for those having major issues....

By the way, these are my graphics settings. Like I said, I just chose auto configure. I wasn't expecting Crysis-like graphics to begin with w/ this game, just some all-around-fun gameplay and I haven't been disappointed. I think it still looks decent too. Texture Quality : Medium Render Quality : Very High View Distance: 25 Detail Distance: 37 Vehicle Density: 26 Shadow Density: 3
