total: $395

That just leaves the case, which i want it to be cheap looks relativly nice and have a psu with it. And the video card. I dream of 8800s but with my price range i dont think so. So i was wondering what the next best thing is, also any other suggestions to something better would be nice. Thank you.

HIS Radeon HD3850256MB PCI-E 2.0179 dollars

COOLER MASTER Centurion RC-534-SKR5 Silver Aluminum & Mesh bezel75 dollars

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 675 SDRAM50 dollars

Microsoft Windows XP Home With SP2B 1 Pack - OEM90 dollars

if you want performance(even in Crysis) go with XP, just download Vista transformation pack if you want all the flash. And if you can please try to save up for a 8800GT 512mb, there simply isn't a better bang for the buck

ok lets see here. PCI-E 2.0 wouldn't that require a different motherboard? case looks pretty good, and the ram isnt the right type (mine needs ddr2 800). Ya I'll probably go with xp for better performance. And I just now noticed this but I should of posted this in PC Hardware sorry.

According to the offical Biostar website that RAM should work just find you just can have anything faster than DDR2 800, and I believe PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatibly just like SATA 2.0 aka SATA 3gb/s. And yeah this should be in the PC hardware section
