Buy an alienware case + alienware sticker. Buy your own parts and Do-it-yourself like everyone does here.

You want to know a perfect a world where you can build cars yourself ground up that are better than preassembled cars? Well in the computer world that exist and is as easy as lego. Buying an alienware is just flushing $$ down the drain and paying up the mark up to fund their marketting department telling you how their products are good for gaming and all.

Hi wucorax!  Logical Increments is a great site that can show you what parts to get.

Also, check out the computer build guide on here if you're not sure what to do. The parts are a few years old, but the steps remain exactly the same. It's by The General.

Build your own!  You'll get a MUCH better computer for the money.

Do a little bit of research, and if you decide to build your own, come back to this forum and ask for advice about your build.

You'll be amazed the quality you can get cheaper (or WAY better than Alienware if you want to spend your whole budget!) if you assemble your own.

I'm one of the least mechanically inclined people alive, and I have no trouble putting PCs together.  It's easier than you think.  :)

I just threw this together in like 5 minutes before I go teach my next class; I didn't look for deals or anything.  I just went to Tiger Direct and threw together some parts.

Something like this will blow away the Alienware, and at a much lower price!

You'd need to do a bit of research, tweak, and look for deals.  This is just an example...I just threw something together real quick.  But look at what you get and the price:

That's cheaper AND a much better PC.  You still have money left over for keyboard, mouse, Windows (if you don't have a copy), and a monitor (if you won't be playing on an HDTV and need a monitor).   That's even with a 4GB GPU for future-proofing.

Still feel like buying a prebuilt?  :P  Lol.

EDIT - And you have options too when building your own, like you could replace with the GTX 680 with a Radeon 7970 GHz edition and the 3770k with a 3570k and save a bunch of money and still have just as good a system.  And I'm off work now so now you're on your own until next time I'm bored at work haha.  :P
