Thinking of getting a new motherboard, cpu and ram etc... Any help or thoughts would be great! Anything I should change? (I live in Canada by the way so be kind)

Asus P5N32-E SLI S775 NF 680I Atx Motherboard Retail Box - $229.99

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 Ghz S775 1333Fsb - $254.99

Ocz 4Gb Titanium XTC (2x2Gb) DDR2 800Mhz PC2-6400 Dual Channel Memory - $124.99 x2 = $249.98

Also I may get either a 8800gt or gtx... not sure. Any changes I should make? I have an old Pentium D 775 processor which I could use to flash the Bios if I have trouble booting up with the new chip... (well I hope anyways)

If I were you I'd look into getting a x38 based motherboard as I've heard the 680i chipset can have problems with the penryn CPU's. Regarding the graphics card, I'd get the 8800GT or GTS instead of the GTX as the extra cost of the GTX isn't really reflected performance wise.

Personally i would get a P35-DS3L (because iam not too big a fan of SLI), E8400, 2GB's or 800Mhz RAM and a 3870X2!

This rig would give you better gaming performance for less money!

Good advices thanks

So another option is a x38 motherboard like this

Asus Maximus Formula S775 Intel X38 Atx Motherboard Retail Box - $279.99

Patriot Dual Channel Viper 4096MB PC8500 DDR2 1066MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB) - $195.99

SLI isn't a huge thing for me, so if x38 works better with the 45nm cpus, than I may try that.
