New Star Wars MMO

I recently, just for fun went to Station.com to see if my login and password worked. To my suprise they did and my character was still there. I reinstalled the game to play for awhile. I played for about 2 weeks and couldnt take it anymore. SOE has really ,in my opinion, ruined what could have been the greatest star wars game ever. My point is that Galaxies doesnt even deserve the title of "Star Wars".

I remember a few months back reading an Official Gamespot news letter that said something about Lucasarts planning to revisit the Star Wars Universe for another MMO. I think that would be great. I think a Star Wars MMO with ground and Jedi combat kinda like Jedi Academy, space combat like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and non-combat,housing and trade system like Galaxies would be spectacular.

Your thoughts?

I remember I got SWG when it FIRST came out and I regret spending that 50 dollars even today...such a waste of money, haven't played it ever since I uninstalled it like 2-3 years ago. It had the potential of becoming the greatest MMO ever but sadly, SOE sucks at making games. If Lucas Arts does want to make a new Star Wars MMO, I really hope they find a developer that'll actually do a good job. I think SOE thought that because it's Star Wars, they could put sh*t in a box, call it Star Wars, and sell it....

I'm so sick and tired of SOE ruining good titles...just because they made the original EQ doesn't make them the god of MMOs

I played it for while then stopped playing and came back after the first combat upgrade (downgrade in my opinion). I found all the armor and weapons my characters had was no longerusable and I had to go try and find them new armor and weapons. I then stopped playing for a while and came back just after the second combat downgrade and that just did me in for wanting to playanymore. I gave everything I had on my characters to a friend of mine and don't ever plan on playing it again.

A new Star Wars MMO would be great as long as Lucas Arts did the developement themselves and kept SOE out of the picture.

IMHO, a very well made Star Wars MMO is the only thing that could really topple WoW at this point in time. That may be an ignorant statement, but I believe its true.

I think a new Star Wars MMO could be better. I dont remember who is doing the W40k MMO but they have their hands full.
