Hi I'm looking to switch over to a gaming pc from the consoles but I'm not 100% sure what I need to purchase. I like to think I have a decent knowledge of computers for being 16. I want to be able to play games such as amnesia, diablo 3, dishonored, doom 3, etc. I have about a $400-$450 budget so any help would be very appreciated. The girl from GameStop told me to just go on a forum and ask what someone could build for me. Thanks.

If that budget includes Windows, keyboard, and mouse, then you won't be able to get much. Since you have that budget and are still only 16, I would save that money and get one of the next gen consoles when they come out.

With that budget you're better off with a console. Save at least $800 to get something decent.

With 400-450$ would be better if you get console.Yes you can buy PC,but 2 years later you will be playing games at sub-hd and mostly unplayable framerates. With Pc you can save on games on long run but entry point price of good PC will be a bit higher than console
