New to PC gaming. Whats a Decent Laptop at around 500ish?

Hey so I decide to switch from being a console player (ps3) to PC. However, I basically know nothing about PC specs at all other than that its really expensive. So I was wondering whats a decent laptop for around 500 dollars? Ive been gaming on my desktop (Nothign fancy playing older games from last generation) but it sucks.I don't need anything fancy that can run Skyrim on like max setting but something that runs other games pretty decently.

O and this is proably gonna be my school laptop too if that affects it in any way.

The new Acer M3 ultrabook is a very nice purchase. For £499 you get a core i3, 6gb ram, 1tb hdd and a 640M 2gb dedicated gfx card. Very nice price for a well specced laptop.

Found this the other day. It would actually play pretty much anything made today, but at low/medium settings.

yeah something along these lines would be good, the amd apus are better suited for gaming.
