New TV or graphic card needed?. Screen Tearing.

Hi. Should I buy a new TV or graphic card?. At the moment I have a MSI 670GTX 2GB. My TV is a 1080p sonny 32" flat screen. KDL-32EX703. With the latest games I am seeing more screen tearing if I have vsync off and if I turn on vsync I got slow downs. I have changed the settings in NVidia control panel under vertical sync and like I say I cant just get it right. So I was just wondering if I should buy a new tv at 100 or 120hz or a new graphic card?. Would the higher refresh rate help with tearing as mine is only 60htz.

The GTX 670 is still a pretty good card. I don't see why you would need a new card. What kind of cpu do you have?

Higher Hz would help, though vsync should really take care of that problem. What do you mean by slow downs when having the Vsync on?

My cpu is a I7 3770k 3.5ghz oc to 4ghz. Say if am on a FPS when vsync is on and I try and turn and run, the screen slow down as I think it trying to load the textures. If you no what I mean.

Are you selecting "On" for the Vsync in the Nvidia Control Panel? If so, try selecting "Adaptive" instead. I find it tends to work better.

Go for 120/144Hz if you want that to stop.

Though most people seem okay with it. Idk how.
