I currently have a lower specs video card, and im planning to buy a greater one

The problem is im a bit confuse if id buy a card that is not compatible w/ my motherboard

I am currently using an ATI radeon X1650 512mb pro wich is A "DDR2"

And I am planning to buy 8800GTS 640MB wich is "DDR3"

In case id buy that DDR3 card, will it be able to fit in my motherboard?

hope someone can answer, thanks...

With graphics card, you don't count/think about the memory type when it comes to 'if it works with my motherboard'

You need to tell us what graphic card slot you have, either AGP or PCI Express..

Also, why the 8800GTS? If you can find a 8800GT, then get that...
