News about Crysis

If you all havent heard, Crysis has been leaked by a hacker group onto the internet. As of now, I dont know what EA is doing about it, but its unstoppable, seems someone from ea themselves uploaded it to the intrawebz.

Theres like 50,000 people downloading this thats being tracked and that could have been all them extra sales if they bothered to use the correct protection on the game....

If anything the number of downloaders indicate the potential market, the game was always going to get leaked. I can't understand why you wouldn't want to buy it though. Cheapass?nutcrackr

I would've been one of the users downloading the torrent right now but since I'm interested in the MP and actually respect Crytek for all the hard work they've put in the game, I'm buying it.

But GL to the people DLing it for it's gonna take a long ass time.

yeah it's gonna take a really long time, look at it this way. The Demo of the game was 1 whole level, that whole file of the demo was 2 gbs, now the whole game is about 14 levels.... you better be downloading at 1 mb + to get it in a day or two !

I pre-ordered and my download finished last night. I just want to play the game. All you do is start bittorent before going to bed.

pretty bad reasoning. The game file is about 6 gbs. and on a decent-good cable line it could be downloaded in a few hours. On a good day with my DSL bell line it would take me like 4-6 hours with fluctuating speeds of 500kb/s-1mb/s and on my rogers cable about 3 hours 1mb+

I've preordered Crysis from EB games. Crytek is one of those developers I support, they deserve my money.

Im still downloading it though because I like to have a digital copy on my harddrive. And... because I want to play it earlier because I should be studying for exams when the game comes out -_-

hey all, i was at walmart doing some shopping and they had a few copies out. i toke one silently and quickly to the nearest cashier that looked 40+ lol. i just sat down to play it and must say the performance is LOADS and i mean LOADS better on the full retail then the demo.jcosta223

sorry i dont have a working camera now... my pos olmypus died a couple months back and havent cared to buy a new one. one thing i remember seeing is on the demo there was the prelease demo signature on the top right corner. all i can do is screenshots.

i know that sounds typical but wat can i say.

let the pirates download it...they wont get Online play and will buy it anyway, wasting a lot of time.

Oh and to the guy above who has 'screenshots of the retail game' .... in the top bar on those screens the date is Oct 24 2007...its November 12 dude. Oct 24, wasnt that when the demo was released??? ;)

lol photoshop..hell im sure even paint you could achieve it. then just colour back over it using a dropper with the same colour. or copy/paste a piece of blank sky to replace it.

i think you dug yourself a hole taking the screens with the date at the top.

whats talking you so long to post a screen thats not from the demo?

why dont you use fraps to take a screen and just upload. It doesnt take long at all

and your obviously lying because if you downloaded crysis you would be playing it right now, not hitting f5 every minute for the last hour

by going through the editor, you can enable that chase scene in the demo by doing some trick with the camera, then dropping into the game.i've seen even more footage than that in the demo, chasing the alien etc.

show me the next stage of the game and i'll retract my shenanigans call.
