Lucky bastage! Wish I had that TV. LGs are good, though I don't know anything about their plasmas. Specs seemed good. But you gotta hook it up and play to know if its any good.
EDIT: Although, I've never seen that resolution on TVs. Is that supposed to be 720p? Seems like it should be something different.
Depends on what models you're comparing, as what's "best for gaming", but in general i think plasma is better than LCD so :P But who cares i want a huge DLP.X360PS3AMD05Plasma is still prone to burn-in. If burn-in is not present on his set than its perfect for gaming and actually better than LCD.

plasma is still prone to image retention, not burn in. Image retention goes away after the image is no longer on the screen, burn in does not.Most sets have measures to prevent IR and burnin isnt an issue anymore on 99% of sets. an LG shoudl be fine with it.
if you're going with a plasma, I would go for a panasonic or a samsung, but beggars cant be choosers and LG is still a decent brand :)
