I'd love a sniper update, or a soldier update, but that will probably be one of the last updates :(. If there's a character that's way too strong now, and doesn't need an update, it's the engineer, they made him so powerful it's ridiculous.
Also maybe some new info on the 10th class ideas :).

Engi just got lvl3 tele's and dispenders. Dont know what new they could get which wouldn't make them more overbalanced.. Maybe a different kind of turret or something. Engi's wrench is THE weapon in the game =D
Looks like im the only one that doesnt think engis are fine and not overpowered.
I have alot of friends who can take out engies at ease with Demoman/Heavy.
Every class has a weakness and strength imo and it depends on the person playing how good they are with that class and those weakness's/strengths

I can destroy an engineer with a demoman, but the sentry is way overpowered, it's not that visible when you're using relatively fast or very fast characters but there was a time in which doctor (uber) + heavy used to destroy a sentry relatively easy, but now it's like the made the fire rate 20 times faster, a heavy is just target bow, you can barely ( as in almost at all) shoot/move, when you go head to head with a sentry, it's by far the most overpowered class in the game, it does take time to upgrade a sentry but there is nothing that can stop it, when it comes to power. Only a spy, but if the team is good, he will get butchered before making even one step towards the sentry.
Demoman can do it, but still, they need to lower the fire rate a little (imo). A sentry is invincible if it isn't left alone, if the teams are balanced.
Rumors are the next update will involve a 10th character. Whether that means we'll get two character updates, I don't know. I'd the the either the spy or the sniper will get the next update. I'd like to get an update on my beloved demo, but knowing my luck, he'll be saved for last.

a 10th character would be very generous of valve O_O In L4D, there are boxes with the TF2 characters on them. Also on the boxes is a statement that says "Collect all 10!". This basically implies there's a 10th character. Nobody outside Valve knows what it is or when we'll get it. I was hoping the 10th character was going to be revealed Tuesday as a surprise, but alas, it did not happen :(. Or maybe we're all interpreting it wrong, which I really hope not.

yeah i heard the same thing posted a few days ago they where also planning a radical new game mode but only after all the character updates are released which could take till 2011!!!

i want a soldier update, it's my best class. if they made a new class entirely, i'd want to see a special ops one, a dude with an smg and little health, and some sort of grapple.

Never use professional fragmovies to show glass(why can't we say cla$$??) balances. Sure demo and soulja are good glasses, but those movies make them godlike.
The 10th class, if Valve indeed makes one, should be a civilian. He would only carry a briefcase (melee weapon), be roughly as fast as a Medic, and have low health. However, he would capture points/move carts/etc. 3X as fast as most classes.
Spy is probably the least played right now, but you don't need that many on each team. It will probably be one of the last updates. Although I would love to see a Spy update, its probably my favorite class.
the spy can be completely useless in certain situations or maps but people still play on the server where i play including myself. I would love a sniper update but i have a feeling that it will be the last class to be updated
Probably Solider, i do think that they gave the Engi's the ability to have Level 3 dispensers and Tele's to hold them over. Or they could do Spy. Who reallly knows.
