Nexuiz - Cryengine 3 remake of the original Linux game

The mod looks amazing. So many prety colors. Just letting you guys know about this. It looks fun but I just got so much on my lap still from last year and more coming this year.

I knew about this game but thought it was an original. Didn't know it was a remake

WOW looks awesome old school gameplay and good graphics? I'M SOLD.

The beta is terrible and there is no way it will have a large enough community to last.

I really hope this game turns out good, CE3 has a lot of potential. But they need to nail the game on a community level, server tools, mod-ability need to at least rival the predecessor. beardawgz

what they need to nail is: accessibility, tiering, new players will get discouraged playing against gud ppl

server tools are needed yes.

I disagree with mod ability, not really a high priority for keeping a game alive, in short term at least.

I just hope they keep good responsive controls. Crysis 2 felt input laggy to me

I have been following this for a while now, as I always liked arena shooters. I might still get it, but I doubt that it will manage to keep a healthy community. Might have to get Tribes Ascend after all.

Not impressed. I'd rather see them keep upgrading the Quake engine instead of porting it over to the CryEngine 3. There's already a CE3-based Nexuiz.
