i have the combination of a creative sound card and an nforce4 motherboard. this crackling issue seems to have gone on for ages and from the recent search i did to find a solution to this problem, doesn't seem to be much out there - either that or i missed something.

has anyone experienced the same problem and found a solution or do i need to work round it and get a new sound card (not creative). if so, which one? as mainly most sound cards seem to be creative.

any help would be appreciated.
