We all love it when these 2 companies start getting pissed at each other and starts making better models from the other cause in the end its better for us. More competition means better remade cards with greater designs and prices. What seemed to be Nividia's victory flag has been burned down by ATI with their new 5000 series cards notably with the 5800s in shortage and high demand. Although it may seem like ATI is taking the lead, many faithfuls are waiting for Fermi to come out the next year but this all comes to one question.

Whos gonna be better?

What do you think?

I got a 5850; but I'm gonna wait for the Northern Islands series to come out before I upgrade. Hopefully Nvidia has something by then :P

I'm holding out for Fermi just because NVIDIA tends to have superior drivers. If GT300 ends up like NV30 (GeForce FX 5800) rather than NV40 (GeForce 6800) or G80 (GeForce 8800), though, then I may have no choice but to have an ATI card pushing pixels and leave my 8800 GT in for CUDA and PhysX if my PSU can handle the load and the drivers won't screw up.
