so I'm assuming the chances of this being a poorly optimized port are strong and should probably get the console version?

I get the feeling the prevailing view from Lucaaarts is that PC gamers should be ever so ever so grateful that they even bothered to slum it and bring the game to the PC. So it doesn't surprise me there is no demo for the PC and you can't help wonder if this is also down to them trying to hide the fact the game will run just as bad as the first one.
I just played the demo on the 360, it was actually fun. I dindt play the first unleashed, only the demo and I remembered not liking it. I may have to get this, I hope they do a good job on the pc port, I am spoiled by pc graphics and hate when I have to get a mp on one of the consoles.
Your pc just sucks mate 0,00 sec lag on my system and i got it on pc since day 1 :) [QUOTE="adamosmaki"]Because according to Lucas arts we need a $5000 pc to be able to match console experience Now excuse me while i go play battlefield BC2 maxed out on my 3 year old 8800gt and Q6600 and then maybe a bit of Dragon age Dont know where you buy your computer but i spent like 900euro for a damn fine PC with i7CPU Crossfire etc... learn2build a pc for real :)I get the feeling the prevailing view from Lucaaarts is that PC gamers should be ever so ever so grateful that they even bothered to slum it and bring the game to the PC. I hardly think a Quadcore with 4gbs of RAM and a GTX 260 "sucks" it is more than up to the job of playing today's games. Oh and no I didn't buy boxed I built it just like I have built all my other PC's over the past 15 years. You just have to read the reviews of Force Unleashed to know this game suffered horrendous technical issues.
Dont know where you buy your computer but i spent like 900euro for a damn fine PC with i7CPU Crossfire etc... learn2build a pc for real :)ThuBz
Obviously you aren't that knowledgable about the PC world, if you were you would have seen the statement by Lucasarts that the reason Force Unleashed wasn't going to be on the PC was down to the fact that you need a $4000 PC :-
However the PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn't be the same game.Cameron Suey

That is the reason adamosmaki said "you need a $5000 pc to play the game" because LUCASARTS SAID IT. In other words adamosmaki was making a lil joke and it obviously went right over your head.
The first Force Unleashed ran fine on max 1680x1050 my PC.
And it was built in 2007.
AMD Athlon x2 5200+ 2.7ghz
2 gig ddr2 800mhz ram
8800gt

Um, as I recall, you couldn't adjust video settings in TFU
But it ran fine on my PC aswell, only fps drop was at raxus prime.
Although the loading times were horrible.

funny how they are being so crappy with the pc on this game as they are pinning a lot of their hopes on the old republic being a good seller

There's one patch that enables you to select "high detail" but that's about it. I usually got/get around 30-40FPS constant which is playable for me with drops at Raxus Prime too.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
RAM: 2Gb DDR
CPU: Core2Duo E7500 3.0Ghz (overclocked)
Video card: ATi HD4670 PCS 1Gb AGP (+7% overclock)
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster EX1920, 1440x900 at 75Hz
Those specs prove Lucas Arts wrong right there...and yes, I'm still using AGP/DDR. XD
Settings? There was not even a resolution option from what i remember.dakan45
There is an option, from the launcher.
All I know is that I'm irritated with the lack of PC demo since I'm anti-console.
