You can play offline just fine. Your progress just wont be saved on Blizzard's servers, so you wont earn achievements and you cant access your save files from a different computer. If you dont care for achievements and you're only using it on one computer, then its fine.
yep no internet no starcraft 2. You can log on to bnet and then logoff, unplug your internet and go offline, but once you restart your comp, you cant play again, or at least that's how it is for me.
Well you should go talk to tech support on the Blizzard forums, because that isn't how the game works.yep no internet no starcraft 2. You're not alone.
I bought the game at launch day and it's never been different for me. I've exhanged countless e-mails with tech support. They denied it was a bug at first but now they admit it's a 'known issue' and that they are working on it (no ETA so don't hold your breath.)
Check the official forums for more info. You can access them from within the game itself.
Back when I was a boy we didn't even have Internet! We played with action figures and rode our bikes! It was fun, I'll tell you whot.Hank-Hill
Id rather play with propane and propane accesories.

Mine is funky, I've registered the game weeks ago and play almost everyday. But when I try to play offline as guest, it makes me sign in to authorize my game client (?) I thought that's what that whole registration business was about. Oh well, it doesn't really matter to me... but there are times I just want to play alone 'offline' and practise with AI.
Is it possible to lock it into offline mode even if the internet connection is detected? I don't care about achievements, and I'm tired of typing my damned password just to play the campaign.
