The stock CPU cooler is fine as long as you don't OC too much on it. That build is almost exactly like the one I have planned except that I'm considering an i7 to squeeze several more years out of my rig. The i7 is totally overkill though but the extra hundred bucks is fine with me

-havent decided on a case yet but would really like your opinions on a good one to get. Was considering a tempest evo or Illusion 300 maybe.

-heard the samsung spinpoint was good but is 3.0Gb/s while the seagateis 6.0Gb/s

No difference at all because none of thos hard drives can achieve those speeds not even 3.0GB/s not even SSD's(although I might be wrong here)

While the Spinpoint F3's perform better and are cheaper.

whats the budget on the case? The tempest evo is really a great case considered it myself when I was biulding my rig but got something better and more expensive, if you spend more on the case you wont regret it because its one of the few parts of your computer where aesthetics matters.

ok great advice guys. No set budget. Anything I should look for in particular with cases other than aesthetics? Seems like most of the ones at newegg have sufficient fans, slots, etc.

the 800D is probably one of my favorite cases honestly. Any of the HAF cases are great and antec has several nice ones (300,900,1200).

SSD do go over 3GB/s now, but not a HDD.

If you aren't planning to watercool in the future, an 800D doesn't do you as much good because it is designed for watercooling As far as the case, you can't go wrong with either a Haf 922, Antec 900, or Lian Li, although I am partial to CoolerMaster Cases, also CM centurion Also, 8 GB of DDR3 isn't a big improvement over 4GB, you could put that money towards a 570 over a 560ti, 570 performs better although it will run hotter and use more power than a 560...basically, 570 is better performance, but 560ti is still good bang for your buck

If you're not going to SLI I recommend getting the cheaper ASUS P8P67 LE (or something else in that price range), and if you're not going to OC forget about the 212. Finally replace the Seagate with a WD Black, and put your saved money towards a 570.

What are the differences that make the P8P67 LE almost $50 cheaper?

I know one thing is only one PCI-E is 16x the other one is 4x. The higher end ones allow for 8x8x.

Motherboards confuse me. Is $45 worth it to get 8x8x rather than 4x in your opinion?

grab a 6950 1gb/2gb, they're better than the 560ti and also come with a free game.
